The Arbor Lutheran Church is a small Lutheran church in Lexington, NC.
We are a vibrant and inclusive community and welcome all who join us for worship.
As early as the late 1700s a small group of determined worshipers gathered at the place of the current Arbor Lutheran Church. Using a roof made of pine branches for shelter, they sat on seats made of logs.
Our pastor is Paul Harder. Do contact him if you have any questions: phone: (219) 707-2739 or via e-mail: [email protected]
Safe and secure in God’s love, and in obedience to the call and direction of the Triune God, we:
worship God in the power of the Holy Spirit through the proclamation of God’s Word and the Celebration of the Holy Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion;
are a healthy, caring, dynamic, and serving community;
nurture and equip our people for discipleship and ministry through the study of God’s Word and celebration of the Sacraments
reach out locally and globally in word and deed with the Good News of Jesus Christ; as we celebrate the unconditional love of God, joyfully, and passionately encouraging one another in our Christian journey.
Sharing the gifts God gave us we support several local charities and ministries such as the Crisis Ministry, the Upper Room Food Ministry, Hospice work and individual families in need. Through the Upper Room Ministry we reach around 400 families a month.
We also support part of the ministry of a St. Michael's Church in Cairo, Egypt that serves a large community of Sudanese refugees. Check out our page on St. Michael's! To support these charitable activities we organize a wildly popular chicken barbecue and yard sale twice a year, in May and October. Do check our calendar for the next sale!
